The L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival launched its 2010 program yesterday.
Highlights for Milly Sleeping will include the Paris Runway Show 2 featuring Romance Was Born, Paris Runway Show 6 featuring Limedrop and S!x, and the Independent Runway featuring Alexi Freeman, Kuwaii and Lui Hon. Lui's garments will shine on the runway twice during the Festival - he has been deservedly named one of the finalists for the Woolmark Designer Award (claimed in 2009 by RWB). Congratulations Lui!
Bookend to the catwalk shows is the extensive cultural program. Milly Sleeping is very pleased to be part of these events for the fourth time running, presenting an exhibition of special garments by Alexi Freeman, Limedrop, MATERIALBYPRODUCT, Romance Was Born and S!x. Each of these labels utilises different techniques for marking, printing and dyeing the materials used to create their garments... In Visible Ink will be a showcase of the stunning and varied results. Opening March 14 (not March 24, as previously stated...)!
